Multiple deaths and injuries following explosions at Florida gas plant

At least 10 nightshift workers are feared dead and several injured following a series of explosions at a gas plant in Florida.

The blasts, which were so powerful they blew the roof off, occurred shortly before 11pm (EST) and have continued for more than an hour.

A half-mile evacuation zone was put in place around the Blue Rhino propane-tank business, in Lake County, and roads closed.

Eye-witnesses said they could see flames up to five miles away, with some describing a ?giant fireball? in the sky. Others said the explosions could be heard up to 15 miles away.
